Miro Cernetig is strategic branding expert — and an award-winning multimedia filmmaker and journalist — with a focus on projects to make the world a better place.
In 2010, while writing about the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Miro was asked to help envision and write the brand identity for Fosters' multi-billion dollar wine division. That was the genesis of Catalytico~ideas in motion, which now builds and executes brands for a wide assortment of forward-thinking clients, from startups to established companies, and C-suite leaders.
Catalytico works with progressive thinkers in development, tech, bio-tech, agri-foods, aviation, philanthropy and many other sectors, including building brands for IPOs and M&As. From emerging companies to those investing billions of dollars, our passion is to put ideas in motion that have the potential to improve our world.
We believe authentic brands and storytelling have a phenomenal power to positively impact business, government and public opinion. This belief comes from Miro's experience writing for The Globe & Mail, as bureau chief in Beijing, New York, Vancouver, Alberta and The Arctic, as well as The International Herald Tribune, The NYT, The Economist, The Toronto Star — where he was Montreal bureau chief — and The Vancouver Sun, where he was a daily columnist. Miro continues to write and direct International documentaries, which have been aired on the CBC, BBC, National Geographic and many other networks.
Miro also takes an interest in public policy, education and mentorship. He has been a visiting professor at the UBC School of Journalism and an adjudicator at The Trudeau Foundation, helping to award scholarships to some of the world's academic and business talent.
